Paul Ceulemans is a Dutch artist born in 1971. He lives and works in The Netherlands (Tilburg) and Spain (Salamanca).

From the moment a Spanish greyhound, a galgo, crossed his path, it was inevitable that he would eventually come to play a role in the work of Paul Ceulemans.

Before this moment, Paul had been dedicating his artistic work to the bull, the Spanish toro bravo, for about twenty years, in bronze sculptures, watercolours and photography.

​

Attracted by the beauty and elegance of the greyhound, he discovered a surprisingly rich history. The greyhound can be found in prehistoric cave drawings and portraits of nobility. In some religions this dog was considered a gift from the gods, which made him a very priviledged creature in certain civilizations.
